New John & The Quarrymen photo
emerges after 52 years!
In view of the great interest in this photo we are in the process of obtaining a numbered set of 16” x 20” prints produced by the traditional “wet” printing process, not by digital methods. These will be signed by Rod Davis, the son of the photographer, James Davis and will come with a handwritten one page history of how the photo was discovered. It is expected that these will sell for £100 each (or equivalent in Dollars or Euros), including postage and they should be available by mid-July. To enable us to estimate possible demand, please indicate if you could be interested in buying one of these unique photographs by emailing the address below and when they are ready we will get back in touch with you and send details of how you can make your purchase. Indicating your interest does NOT commit you to buying a photograph.
The original negative is 35mm and John is clearly visible in his check shirt, eyes closed, singing away. The picture above is a very low-res copy.
We look forward to hearing from you.
